Put Yourself in Their Shoes?

What do you think it was like to have been an Anglo-Saxon or a Norman in the time that Pilsbury Castle was built about 900 years ago?

To give you some ideas, here are the thoughts of an Anglo- Saxon ploughman and a Norman soldier. In the first one, Aelfric, a school teacher, got his pupils to practise Latin by learning what this Anglo-Saxon ploughman would say.

Whose shoes would you rather be in - those of an Anglo Saxon ploughman or of a Norman soldier?

You can become a detective and look for more clues in the 'Project Documents' section, seen here to the top right of your screen.
